- Call logs if you received a fraudulent phone call, and
- Login notifications if someone tried to access your account from an unknown device.

You can submit your request no later than on the same day of the thirteenth month following the date of the payment transaction.

Transaction monitoring and setting value limits
To detect fraud and prevent future misuse, MBH Bank Nyrt. provides the following free transaction monitoring solutions:
For retail electronic channels, our exBB (on the MBH Netbank [previously BB] channel) and exMKB (on the MBH Netbank [previously MKB] channel) customers will receive a message in their netbank mailbox in the following cases:
- changes affecting cash substitute payment instruments, such as setting up push notifications for online transaction approvals, setting up biometric identification, card digitisation,
- changes affecting sensitive payment/authentication data (mPIN or password changes),
- successful or unsuccessful electronic transactions (transfer orders, deposit transactions, secondary identifiers).
To protect our customers, our bank allows separate limits (transaction limits) to be set for both bank cards and electronic channels, which serve to increase financial security and are recommended for use.
- For our retail customers, we have set a basic limit of HUF 300,000 for electronic transfers on our MBH Netbank (previously BB) and MBH Bank App (profile 101) channels.
- If you use our MBH Netbank (formerly MKB), MBH Netbank (previously Takarék) or MBH Bank App (profile 103 and profile 504) channels, we recommend that you set no higher than the same amount (HUF 300,000) as a limit.
- The set limits can be changed later, so you can adjust them at any time as needed. Please set the limits according to your spending/transfer habits to prevent transactions that differ from your habits and may be fraudulent.
- If you have increased your limits due to a one-time large expense and no longer need the increased value limit, for greater security, do not forget to reset it to the lowest possible amount that is still appropriate.
- We provide all our customers with the option to change their limits through the following channels: TeleBank, Videobank, and our bank branches.
Please note that for security reasons, the daily transfer limit is significantly lower during the first 24 hours after registering for the first time or re-registering an existing device on MBH Netbank (formerly BB) and the MBH Bank App (profile 101). During that period, the limit cannot be changed even at the customer's request.
For more information on the maximum limits that can be set on each electronic channel, please refer to our service announcements.
Frequently asked questions
What should you tell the banking officer if you suspect fraud?
If you feel that you have been the victim of fraud or have experienced a suspicious event, it is important to provide the bank officer as much detail as possible. Tell them when and what internet interface you used, and whether you noticed anything unusual, such as a strange web address or appearance. If you were contacted by phone, tell them what number they called from, what organisation they represented, and what instructions you received. It is also important to note what banking transactions you performed and whether you provided any information. Every little detail can help with the investigation and may even be crucial in police proceedings.
How can you block or suspend your bank card?
If you feel that your bank card is at risk, you have two options: you can temporarily suspend it or permanently block it.
- In the MBH Bank App, you can suspend your card with just a few taps, and you can block or reactivate it at any time later. Important: if you initiate the suspension from the app, it only applies to your physical card; your digital card will remain active. Therefore, if you suspect fraud, we recommend permanent blocking.
- If you are sure that your card has been compromised, block it as soon as possible. The easiest way to do this is through Telebank, where a separate menu item helps you to do this quickly. If you have a TelePIN code, identification will also be faster.
- If you were previously a BB or Takarékbank customer, you can block your card in person, without waiting in line, at any of our bank branches. If you were previously an MKB customer, you can only do this via Telebank or the MBH Bank App.
How can you change your password?
The easiest way to change your password is on the MBH Bank netbank interface, under the Change Login/Access Password menu item. You can change your mPIN in the MBH Bank App under the Settings/Change mPIN menu item. Unfortunately, changing your password alone is not enough, so for complete security, you must suspend or block your card.
What evidence will you need?
Evidence is essential for investigating fraud and filing a police report. It is a good idea to take screenshots of messages, call logs, and suspicious websites or applications. If you know them, write down the fraudster's details, such as their email address, social media profile, or phone number. Notifications and statements about bank transactions may also be important.
It is important not to run a virus scanner on the affected device before saving the evidence or screenshots, as this may delete the evidence! After saving, you should scan the device to prevent further abuse.
